Aims and Goals

Technological progress in science gives rise to the most ambitious projects of the future, such as nuclear-powered futuristic sky cruise hotel that never land due to unlimited energy. Similar breakthrough steps are taking in the development of innovative technologies for therapy of brain diseases during sleep. In new scientific concept, neuro-sleep is considered as a complex system, which is studied with the help of interdisciplinary approaches. As a result of this revolution step, pioneering technologies for assessing the blood-brain barrier only by the EEG parameters and smart sleep portable gadgets for the stimulation of lymphatic removal of toxins from the brain are being created. This special issue is dedicated to highlighting new trends in the study of neuro-sleep as a complex system using multi-disciplinary methods, modeling, and machine learning approaches as well as innovative technologies for therapy of brain diseases during sleep.

We have a great pleasure to invite you to propose one or more research papers towards this issue, the journal accepts original research, Editorial, Clinical Image, Case Study, Research, Review, Perspective, Opinion, and Commentary, etc. All submissions will undergo an anonymous review to guarantee high scientific quality. The peer-review process is carried out by the Journal editorial board members or other eminent experts provided the article is approved by at least two or more independent reviewers followed by the editor’s approval for final acceptance.

The scope of the current special issue covers following topics that includes, but not limited:

  • Sleep and Brain Drainage
  • Night and Day Photo-Stimulation of Brain’s Waste Removal System
  • Sleeping Brain as a Complex System
  • Multi-disciplinary approaches
  • Nonlinear time series and machine learning methods
  • Laser-Based Additive Manufacturing
  • Modeling of Brain Drainage
